About Us
Mrs. Maxwell is currently consulting as an education specialist for Paragon TEC as well as a consultant for NASA. In the past, she served as a senior manager for Educational Options, a web-based software firm specializing in online curriculum for grades 7-12. In her role as school developer, Ms. Maxwell was instrumental in the development and accreditation of Blue Ridge International Academy. Her extensive background in education has afforded her the opportunity to work with students at various educational levels.
Mrs. Maxwell’s experience in online learning began in the late 90’s, with NASA’s distance education program where she served as a project leader for Orchard School of Science in Cleveland, Ohio. During her five years in this position, she helped develop, implement and carry out former Congressman, Louis Stokes Linking Stars to Stars program.
Mrs. Maxwell has over 13 years of experience with the Ohio, District of Columbia and Virginia public school systems as a classroom teacher. In addition to teaching, she’s held leadership positions with institutions such as the Annenberg Institute, Cleveland State, John Carroll University, McDaniel College and the Education Technology Think Tank (ET3). She has helped these institutions develop and implement hybrid education programs to increase student achievement on the national, state, and local levels.
Mrs. Maxwell is currently completing her dissertation for her Ph.D. from Walden University specializing in K-12 Education Leadership. She earned a Masters degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelors degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh.
She lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband and son.
