The attorneys in our Sports and Entertainment practice group act as transactional and litigation counsel for artists, composers, recording artists, record producers, managers, agents, directors, writers and producers of motion pictures, television series and music videos. The firm also provides legal counsel to entertainment marketing companies, and professional athletes. We are licensed to negotiate contracts for the NBA and NFL. We have also represented athletes in the MLB, AFL and overseas basketball and football leagues

We have represented our clients in a wide variety of matters, including negotiations of celebrity endorsements, special television appearances, music distribution including royalty issues, as well as sponsorships of high-profile sporting events and performances. Lamman RuckerLamman Rucker

Born in Pittsburgh, his mother had a dance company (the Pittsburgh Black Theater Dance Ensemble) and his father was a drummer, so entertaining is in his blood. His first acting role was as Martin Luther King in the 4th grade. He was in the drama club in 7th grade and then attended high school at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C. He has an undergraduate degree in Information Technology and Business and his graduate degree in Education and Curriculum Development. He played basketball in college and semi-pro ball for a short time after that. Mr. Rucker is the oldest of 3 children, having a younger sister and brother. He is currently single, but involved with someone special. When he’s not working, he enjoys working out, playing ball, going to the theater and travelling.

He has been featured in Tyler Perry’s, “Why Did I Get Married” and “Meet the Browns”. He has also been a guest star on Half and Half, Law & Order and House of Payne. It was his role as Marshal Travers on CBS’s As the World Turns.
Intersect Partner, Lindsey Maxwell and Mr. Rucker are recently formed a new company, Black Tiger Edutainment LLC, to endorse and promote Mr. Rucker’s business and entertainment ventures.
